rsync problem when spaces in files when using recusrive

0

I use Arch Linux and rsync version 3.1.3 protocol version 31.
When I do rsync -aEu foldera/ folderb/ and foldera contains the file file 1.txt (with space), I get the following error.

rsync: mkstemp "folderb/.file 1.txt.YTfQFW" failed: Invalid argument (22)
rsync error: some files/attrs were not transferred (see previous errors) (code 23) at main.c(1189) [sender=3.1.3]

However, I want to backup the whole foldera recursivly (which in practice contains subfolders, more files,...), so I can't escape all spaces by hand. I get this error for all files containing a space, but not for 'normal' ones. What can I do to backup all files?
