apt-get update stopped working

I was trying to solve an issue of not having enough space in my kali linux
and at one point i entered the command:



rm -rf /var/lib/apt/lists



I deleted everything in the lists directory and know when i type



sudo apt-get update
i get the following error:



Get:1 https://kali.download/kali kali-rolling InRelease [30.5 kB]



Err:1 https://kali.download/kali kali-rolling InRelease
Error writing to output file - write (28: No space left on device) [IP: 104.18.244.114 443]



Reading package lists... Done



W: Failed to fetch https://http.kali.org/kali/dists/kali-rolling/InRelease



Error writing to output file - write (28: No space left on device) [IP: 104.18.244.114 443]



W: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.



How do i fix this ?
