Some differences between fdisk and parted

0

  1. fdisk will allow your partitions to lie out of order unless you
specifically tell it to reorder them,

How do you tell fdisk " to reorder them"? I can't find an option
    for fdisk for that.

  2. most other tools (and unless i'm
very mistaken parted is one of them) will make assumptions that you
want everything to be 'clean' once you are finished, even when you
didn't expect to have some action performed.

What do "want everything to be 'clean' once you are finished" and
"didn't expect to have some action performed" mean?

Thanks.
