Firefox in lxc container does not load flash plugin

0

I am running firefox 65.0.1 in an lxc container under Ubuntu 18.10 where the GUI profile is defined as shown here. Firefox works but it does not load the flash plugin somehow. The plugin is installed in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/ and ldd /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/flashplugin-alternative.so shows that all required libraries are found. However, about:plugins does not show the flash plugin.

Another problem I observed is that the HTML 5 video player support does not fully work, i.e., according to youtube H.264 and MSE & H.264 are not supported while WebM VP8 and MSE & WebM VP9 are supported.

Do you have an idea what causes these problems? Could it be caused by DBUS not working properly inside the lxc container? How can I debug the issues?
