error: implicit declaration of function ‘config_enabled’

-2

When I try to run make in Downloads/backports-20151120 on Debian, I get this error:

error: implicit declaration of function ‘config_enabled’
[-Werror=implicit-function-declaration]

Make fails and says it is treating some warnings as errors.

Edit: following instructions on answer in this thread I can't connect to Wi-Fi, no wlan0 device on iwconfig

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

But what is /backports-20151120? Have you contacted whoever wrote whatever it is you are trying to compile?

@NaishO'Loughlin Well, to be fair, that's how I interpreted your initial question as well, so it was an honest attempt at cleaning up the markup.

It strikes me that using code from 2015 with a newer kernel has all the potential for going wrong. I'm not a Linux user so I can't say much more than "try finding more up to date code".
