Replace initial text in command line with custom text

0

In a linux terminal every line holds the path of the current directory. After this you can write your own commands.

Example:

user@server:/data01/users/user-1/folder1/folder2$

This path gets really long and if I have to type a long command I have to scroll horizontally.

I want to replace this initial text with a custom message to ease terminal usage. For example to something like:

user@server:terminal$
