Centos 7: Fails login with fluxbox and lightdm
On my Centos7 vm I have installed fluxbox and lightdm. But when I set the password correctly it still fails to login.
Originally I had a the following .xinitrc:
exec /usr/bin/startfluxbox
But with the following command I disabled it:
mv ~/.xinitrc ~/.xinitrc.bak
I installed the lightdm:
sudo yum install lightdm
And I rebooted my VM
Afterwards when the lightdm starts and I enter correctly my credentials but lightdm fails to login. I restarted the lightdm and I run sudo systemctl status lightdm.service
Then I receive th3e following message:
[user@10 ~]$ sudo systemctl status lightdm.service
● lightdm.service - Light Display Manager

For some reason lightdm does not accept the password whilst the lon-gui (ssh, normal terminal login accepts it). Do you know why?
